Blitzen

Male; 11 wks; Keeshond type; Will probably weigh 50-60 pounds full grown; Will finish shots on Dec. 3rd

Blitzen is affectionate, playful, intelligent. He is well on the way to being housebroken. He will potty on a long lead and is learning to walk obediently on a short lead, but he is still so young that lessons need to be short and full of rewards. I use Natural Balance food roll in very small pieces as training treats.

He is usually willing to please, but he likes to play games, too: chewing on the leash, sitting on the leash, and just plain sitting down. This is normal puppy behavior and shows he has a sense of humor. Blitz needs a secure fenced-in large yard and is happy to be an indoor-outdoor dog.

Zoe

Female full blood female Weimaraner, age not certain but young. Is scheduled to go to vet for checkup and possible spay and shots. She was found wandering along the roadside and very skinny.

Boco

Boco came to us yesterday June 8, 2008. She is a beautiful medium sized girl, possibly part catahoula. She has brindle markings and is quite good natured. Boco is probably about 9 months old, has been spayed and vaccinated. She is good with children and other dogs. She is still a puppy, so active and playful and still learning her manners. If you are interested in Boco, please call Sonja at ARF.

Brady

She came to us on May 24, 2008. She has had her first shots and check up and is in good health. She is working on her house training and is a "quick study." When she came to us she weighed 5 pounds and is already 12 pounds and growing. She looks a little like a beagle, with short fur, but the markings of a shephard. She also seems to be getting longer, and shaped like a basset hound. She is playful and cute and will probably grow to a medium to large sized dog. She is crate training, is obedient and is good with the other dogs and all of the people in the family." We will have her spayed, but if she is adopted before we can do that, her adoptive family will have to commit to having it done themselves.

UPDATE: These new photos are at 4 months old. Brady is getting bigger and longer as she grows. She is probably part basset hound, and still a very good natured puppy. She is quite playful and active, due to her tender age. She is very loving, and can hold her own with the big dogs.

Little Maggie

"She was found on May 23, 2008. She has had her first shots and check up and is in good health. She is house trained and is working on her crate training. Maggie has a wonderful disposition and wags her whole back end when her tail is wagging (which is often). She loves to play and is also obedient. She has been spayed and needs to complete her shots. Maggie will fit well in a family with child(ren) who can play with her and spend time with her. She will probably be a medium sized dog.
